Running a workshop to help your employees learn more about Agile and Scrum can quickly become a time-consuming task in Agile Scrum Master Certification. What might have seemed like a quick way to get more people involved can easily grow out of hand. So, to help you manage your next workshop, here are some activity ideas you can use to help your team learn about Agile and Scrum. The Marshmallow Challenge: A great way to push the creative thinking of your teams is through the marshmallow challenge. First, break your workshop into groups of four to five people. Then distribute one marshmallow, one yard of string, on yard of tape, and twenty spaghetti sticks. The goal is to build a structure that supports the marshmallow at the highest height possible. Give each team up to twenty minutes to form their structure with a marshmallow, whoever gets the marshmallow the highest wins. This pushes your teams to work collaboratively, think outside the box, and perform under tight timelines. Paper Plane Game: The paper plane game works by giving points for each successful paper airplane a team creates. To play this game, first break your workshop up into groups of about five people then distribute a stack of blank pieces of paper to each team. Give each team four minutes to create as many successful paper airplanes as possible. A successful paper airplane consists of a plane that flies at least one hundred feet. Once the teams create their planes, give the teams four minutes to test the planes, then four minutes to adjust their strategy with Scrum Training Videos. Repeat the process three times to see the improvements in each team. This helps your teams understand the benefits of breaking work up into distinct sprints then looking for areas of improvement after a sprint.
